Why does it seem like the servers decide to take 💩 around the holidays? Because it happend again. As you probably noticed plex is up and down like the only prostitute at a sausage party lately. The Volumes on the NAS have all crashed at once, taking down every service that makes warlock flix possible. No need to worry though, all data is safe and sound and after a bunch of linux shell commands the volumes are back to operational and Plex is back up. I did notice however that there are sections in plex missing content. I'm working on that now so expect some downtime here and there. This christmas the family is taking a much needed vacation. So if you need any of us, yell as loud as you can! We'll be in Punta Cana! 😎

There has been some downtime in some of the docker containers running. Some of the self healing of the nodes and rebooting the dockers has helped. But when the machine configs get corrupted, restarting all of the nodes over and over isn't going to help. I'll be looking at some automation to self heal the configs of each machine shortly. Ill also look into getting some better stats for all of the servers. But good lord; time flies.
I can't belive it's almost christmas! Anyways, the plex move has gone well and everythinghas been stable and awesome. Hope you are enjoying the flix. All users have been migrated from plex into the reqest system so you can add your media at will and when you want. I'm also going to add a reminder up top. But if you want something added that you can't find on plex, click the button above (Request Flix) which will take you to the request system. Search for and add media at you leasure. ;)
PLEX SERVER IN TEST! In order to cut back on downtime and connectivity issues with plex. I decided to move the plex server directly over to the NAS. This should make it A TON more stable. However the hardware on the NAS isn't as fast as the box as it was on. So Please be sure to let me know if you run into slowness/performance related issues.
ALL SYSTEMS NORMAL! All files have been reconditioned. Plex is currently chugging through the TV Shows creating chapter thumbnails. Other then that everything should be good! Enjoy the flix!
Plex should now, mostly be stable. However because of the downloaders and request system being down, plex is stale and nothing new is getting added. Let me know if there are any stability issues with plex. As far as the request system is concerned: So we are getting there. The new movie and tv show downloaders are now up and chugging through existing data. Once those are done I'll get to the last thing, which is reconfiguring the request system. By the end of this week unless something else drastic occurs. :)
Happy (belated) Birthday America. We surely celebrated with fireworks on that spindle! SIGH.. All disks on the server running all of the VMs has crahsed. I'm in the process of moving the VM over to my other NAS. However because the disk crashed ALL DATA WAS LOST, AND UNFORTUNATELY THE BACKUP FAILED DURING THE WRITE. PURE DATA LOSS! FML!! I can't get any of the config files back for anything. I'm going to have to set the VMs back up by hand manually, one at a time. Please be patient. The request system will be offline until all of the other VMs are back online. So Plex is going to be static for a bit. Stay patient. I'm working it. But time is limited. I expect to have everything back up by next weekend (7/14/21). But I'll probably be faster. ;)
Email is now online for the request system. When you make a request, you'll now recieve status updates of your request via email.
Also the server status pages for the various servers and systems that do all of the work behind the scenes to make warlock flix possible has been brought online. You can check it out on the menu by clicking the Media Server Status option. That page will serve as the status page. If something is down or not working, check there first. ;)
